Shane Halley played high school baseball for Lake Braddock High School in Burke, VA from 2004-2008 where he was a member of two Patriot District and two Northern Region Championship Teams as a pitcher and outfielder. Following High School, Shane played 4 years of college baseball at the University of Virginia (UVA) where he was a two-way player. During his time at UVA, he played on two ACC Championship teams and played in UVA’s first two College World Series (CWS) appearances. In his senior year, Shane was tied for second in the ACC with 9 wins and ended his career at UVA ranked 3rd in winning percentage with a 14-2 record and a career WHIP of 1.0 as a reliever and starting pitcher.
Shane was drafted in the 20th Round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals and is currently pitching in the Colorado Rockies Minor League Organization.
